Individual & relationship therapy
Communication, connection and understanding
Relationships can be rewarding, but they can also become difficult to navigate.
Relationship therapy offers a space to understand patterns within a relationship, improve communication and explore difficulties that may be affecting connection and intimacy.
We work with individuals, couples and people in a range of relationship structures. We welcome people from diverse cultural, social, sexual and relationship backgrounds, including those in monogamous, open and polyamorous relationships.
Understanding your relationships
Relationship therapy may be helpful when you are experiencing:
- Understanding relationship dynamics, patterns, roles and behaviour
- Communication difficulties
- Repeated arguments or conflict
- Emotional distance or disconnection
- Difficulties with trust
- Changes in intimacy
- Differences in expectations or needs
- Difficulties following significant life changes
- Infidelity
- Intercultural or cross-cultural relationship challenges
- The impact of trauma or past experiences
- Questions about the future of a relationship
- Challenges within open or polyamorous relationships
- Life transitions
- Navigating boundaries, agreements and communication within consensual non-monogamous relationships
- Changes in relationship structures or agreements
- Religion related challenges
- HIV and relationships
Our approach recognises that there is no single model for a healthy relationship. We do not assume that monogamy is the goal or that one relationship structure is better than another.
Our aim is not to take sides. We work collaboratively to help you understand what is happening within your relationships, strengthen communication and explore what you would like to change.

Finding the right support
You don’t have to know
where to begin.
If you are unsure whether psychosexual therapy, relationship therapy, a group or another service would be most appropriate, we can discuss your needs and help you identify the best starting point.
